Which Disney villain are you?

Do you enjoy hunting down cute little puppies and turning them into a fabulous fur coat? Maybe you love to torture little mermaids, or poison pretty little princesses so you can be the fairest of them all?

The ladies you loved to hate when you were a kid, brought to you by Mango.

I'm a sucker for colorful and cartoony graphic tees, I don't think I'll ever outgrow them. That's why I totally adore the embellished graphic tees of Alber Elbaz for Lanvin. They're actually very DIY-able.

miss miss miss

I cannot believe Lady Gaga came to Manila and I missed it!

"When I'm writing music, I'm thinking about the clothes I want to wear on stage. It's all about everything altogether — performance art, pop performance art, fashion. For me, it's everything coming together and being a real story that will bring back the super-fan. I want to bring that back. I want the imagery to be so strong that fans will want to eat and taste and lick every part of us." -Lady Gaga

This girl definitely did her homework. Looks like she got the formula for fame down to a T. I seriously think she's gonna be something like the Madonna or Kylie of our generation and may even reach Michael Jackson fame levels. With all her crazy antics, who knows? It's all about the packaging and as she said, the imagery that people associate you with and this lady likes her imagery strong and succulent. The sunglasses, the catsuits, the hot pants, the bold shoulders. Let's not forget the avant-garde dresses, adorned with anything from crystal origami pieces to plastic bubbles or shiny parts of a disco ball. Show-stopping, outrageously flashy fashion in all its glittery glory. She's not called Gaga for nothing.

Signing on again. I missed blogging.

I'm serious as a heart attack

Lazy days, lounging about the sofa with my toes constantly in your face
and you know I'll scream when you try to get yours up in mine
so you don't and I love you for that

Happy heart's day y'all!

I'm seriously lusting over those shiny pink pants, like seriously.

baby gaga

Oh my cuteness! I've neer seen baby clothes this graphically out there. Quite on-trend too with the skeleton print. Which brings me to Alexander McQueen Spring 2009, one word: riveting. Check out some of the "skeletal" pieces, and I just love the idea for the models' dreamy hair. They look like they're underwater.

cute bag alert!

source: bag trends

I spotted this cute little bag on Little J in a recent episode of GG, and no I'm not gonna narrate like Gossip Girl again. :P The huge safety pin handle really makes it a stand-out, it's apparently from Bodhi bags. Zooey Deschanel was also carrying it in Yes Man, but I can't seem to find a picture of her with it. Zooey Deschanel rocked in that movie, literally and figuratively. I've always loved her, check out her quirky scooter helmet.

poor little rich girl

Effortless grungy chic is Mary-Kate Olsen. She puts together a mix of seemingly drab and lackluster pieces with ultra-luxe ones and wears them with such rock star aplomb. You'd always think she's hungover or just came from an afterparty somewhere and just decided to mindlessly throw an outfit together. Always the trendsetter, she's channeling John Lennon these days with her round tinted glasses (second photo). She makes me want to raid my grandmother's closet and never comb my hair. Who ever has time to comb ones hair these days anyway?
A cousin threw a costume party a couple of weeks ago and so I decided to dress as MK Olsen in all her bag lady glory. Not so conceptual and costume-y I know but, whatever. I just really wanted to take pictures of myself pretending I'm being chased by the paparazzi
haha! The outfit worked pretty well for the chilly weather we've been having though. I've been busy lately and I haven't blogged in a while, but big thanks to those who posted comments! :)

Wearing Terranova long chunky knit cardigan, white top from Topshop, old black pashmina, gray vest with fringe scarf, black Aldo boots, Mango shades, tights and rings from Divisoria.

S spotted

Spotted: Landing on worst-dressed lists everywhere for the recent Golden Globe awards, GG's Blake Lively wearing a (too)tight-fitting beaded satin gown with a thigh-high slit. Very tacky beauty pageant contestant of her, and she even forgot to do her hair. Looks like S needs a little advice on how to pull off a red carpet dress.

On the other hand, I just have to say that Eva Mendes looked so glamorous. I love the turquoise neckpiece she wore with the white Dior dress. I remember Cameron Diaz also wore turquoise jewelry paired with a Dior gown as well in a red carpet moment in 2007. If I'm not mistaken, they're both clients of Rachel Zoe's. Blake could've used something a little more fun like these looks.

Luella Love

tank top from a bazaar, thrifted tiered skirt, Melissa wedge shoes

I was feelin' a little girly the other night when I met some friends for drinks. I'm a big fan of accessorizing but that night I just left my thrifted tiered skirt do all the talking, I actually just altered the waistband so it'll be high-waist. Despite the lovely chilly weather which tempted me to go for a cold weather-ish outfit that we rarely get to sport around here, I still went for the tank and skirt and just brought a cardigan along.

This skirt reminds me of some dresses from Luella's spring 08 collection, which seems to be stamped in my head. I've always loved Luella Bartley's street-chic stuff probably because of the Betsey Johnson in me, it's always pretty with a little punk.

Her spring 09 collection is just as fab, featuring some ruffled short dresses as well but with a little play on asymmetry and pops of color all over. The shoes and accessories in this collection are all so cute especially the head bows with the net. Hmm... I see a DIY project coming.

Sketchy charactaers

Henry Holland came out with cheeky new t-shirts showing off sketches of some fashion figures in the nude. His old block letter prints from the 80s have been copied to death here in Manila, not even funny anymore. I love the Alber shirt, he's so adorable.
